Heat pumps require regular maintenance to perform at their most efficient as well as to ensure a long service life.
The main maintenance your home heat pump needs is the cleaning of the indoor air filters.
It is essential that the large heat pump filters in the upper front of your heat pump are cleaned on a regular basis - at least every 6-8 weeks.
Always turn of your heat pump before cleaning your filters. Remove the filters and wash them under a running tap, dry them by pressing between two towels before replacing them.
You can regularly hose down the outside unit, especially if you are in a high salt area. They preform better when free debris and weeds, especially at the rear of the unit.
If you are having difficulty cleaning the filters in your heat pump system, we can offer you a regular filter cleaning service.
For optimum performance and reliability, FUJITSU recommend that their heat pump systems are serviced professionally every 2 years.
If, for some reason, refrigerant has leaked from your unit, it will not be performing efficiently. A perfect reason why you should have a service done as recommended by Fujitsu.
