Heat pumps require regular maintenance to perform at their most efficient as well as to ensure a long service life.

The main maintenance your home heat pump needs is the cleaning of the indoor air filters.

It is essential that the large heat pump filters in the upper front of your heat pump are cleaned on a regular basis - at least every 6-8 weeks.

Always turn of your heat pump before cleaning your filters. Remove the filters and wash them under a running tap, dry them by pressing between two towels before replacing them.

You can regularly hose down the outside unit, especially if you are in a high salt area. They preform better when free debris and weeds, especially at the rear of the unit.
